RENEGADE: So, Candy Stripe Photography, please talk us through a typical day.
CANDY STRIPE PHOTOGRAPHY: So, a typical 'productive' day for Candy Stripe Photography would involve jumping out of bed as early as possible! I try to make it 7/7:30am! Early bird, I'm definitely more productive in the morning! For me, might I add, the afternoon slump is a very real thing! Once I have made a concrete start though it helps set the tone for the day and get me through the sleepy afternoon. Anyway back to the productiveness....On a day that I am in my loft, I check my emails first and reply to any waiting in my inbox. I try to reply to enquires etc within 24 hours. I will then grab some brekkie (possibly a backwards way of doing things!!). I try to make a list the night before as to what I need to work on the following day, this helps me focus and not wonder onto to Facebook for a mooch! So, I will list in a priority order and work through. Generally that can include, editing, album design, market research and marketing, meeting with clients etc. I am currently working on a new Blog and Website..so that has to be factored into that list also. The ideal day includes a nice walk at some stage as well, great to leave the bat cave and get a bit of daylight and fresh air:)

RENEGADE: What is inspiring you right now?
CANDY STRIPE PHOTOGRAPHY: I feel inspired by landscapes at the moment, the colours, muted tones and the beautiful Spring light. I love the textures and rugged unrefined forms.
There is a freedom that radiates from nature, which I aspire to recreate and hope to emulate more and more in my photography.
I am also inspired by how many amazing photographers we have in Ireland, all pushing forward on a national and international level with beautiful fearless work.
